4. THE DREAM
Write a description of your dream here. To become
aware of what you dream of you might want to imagine
that a year has passed and you are enjoying your life.
You are satisfied with all the positive developments
that have taken place over the past year. Things are
going well on all areas of your life: work; studies;
health; family; love life; friends; hobbies, etc. Write
a letter from the future to yourself (or to someone
else) describing how you are doing and what is happening
in your life then.

6. GOALS
In order for you to make your dream come
true you probably need to achieve various goals.
The word "goal" means things you need
to learn, things you have started that you need
to complete, behaviours
that you need to change, habits you need to drop,
or objectives you need to accomplish. Try to identify
a
number of goals that you believe would help you
make your dream to come true, and list them on
this page.
Page
8-9. THE GOAL, NAME AND SYMBOL
Choose one goal from you list of goals
that you want to achieve. The idea is that if you concentrate
on one goal at a time you will be more likely to make
progress than if you try to achieve many goals at once.
Make sure you state your goal in positive terms. Your
goals should not be stopping doing something or doing
less of the wrong thing. Instead it should be starting
doing something or doing more of the right thing.
Give a name to your goal or your project
to reach that goal. Find an appealing name by which
you refer to the project of reaching your goal. Be creative.
An important project should have a good name.
To make your project even more important
for you, in addition to the name, also come up with
a symbol that represents your goal. The symbol for your
project can be anything, an animal, a fruit, a slogan,
a bumper sticker or even something appearing on your
screen saver. Be creative. The symbol will remind you
of your project and inspire you to become creative in
finding ways to make progress.

10. SUPPORTERS
Reteaming is based on the idea that it is next to impossible
to achieve personal goals without any help, encouragement,
assistance, or support from other people. Don't try
to be a self-made person. Rely on other people. Recruit
a number of supporters, ask these people to support
you and to become your supporters. To do this you will,
of course, have to tell them about your project, the
name you have given it and the symbol that you have
chosen to stand for it. If they ask you in what way
you want them to support you, tell them what you expect
from them. Your supporters can support you in many ways:
they may encourage you, remind you, or help you in practical
ways. Above all you need them in order to have someone
to share your progress with.

12. BENEFITS
List here the benefits of your goal to yourself as well
as to other people. What good will reaching your goal
do to yourself? What favourable effects will it have
on your family members, your friendships, your children,
your work? The more benefits you manage to identify
the more motivated you will be to take whatever action
you need to take to actually achieve your goal. Don't
stop until you have gathered a dozen or so different
benefits.

14. PROGRESS UP UNTILL NOW
Write a report about what progress you have
already made. When you decide on a goal that you want
to achieve, it is more than likely that, to some extent,
you are already on the way. Look carefully and you will
find that there are some things that have happened that
can be considered as preliminary progress. Perhaps there
were some moments when you achieved your goal, even
if it was for just for a brief while. Perhaps you have
recently taken some minor action to promote your goal.
Or perhaps you have recently just thought about doing
something about the goal. Whatever it is, write it down
here. Seeing it written down will help you realize that
you are already on the right track. It is always easier
to continue with something that has already been started
than to begin something that's altogether new.

16-17 THE STEPS OF PROGRESS
These pages are reserved for you to write
a description of how you imagine that progress will
take place - presuming all goes well. Use the steps
of the illustration: On the first step you can write
what will be the first little sign for you, already
tomorrow or within a couple of days, that will signal
to you that you are well on the way. On the second step
you can write what will be a more significant step,
a week or two from now, that will indicate to you that
progress is well on the way. On the third step, write
what will a major step, within a month or so, that will
indicate to you that you that you have done quite a
bit of progress even if you haven't fully achieved your
goal yet. And on the fourth step, write what you consider
to be indication that you have actually achieved your
goal.

18. NOT EASY
This page is to remind you about being realistic.
Write here why you think it is not going to be
easy for you
to achieve your goal. The idea here is not to discourage
or demoralize you but to be realistic, to make
you realize
the fact that reaching your goal is not just a "piece
of cake". You probably would not have set
yourself a goal that is very easy for you to achieve.
You don't
need to dwell much on this question. Just list
some of the reasons why reaching your goal is not
easy and
then move on.
Page
20. REASONS FOR CONFIDENCE
Reaching your goal is not easy but it doesn't mean that
it is impossible. Here your task is to become aware
of the reasons why achieving your goal is possible.
List several reasons that give you confidence that you
can make it. Think, for example, about the progress
that you have already made, remember your previous success
in reaching similar goals, pay attention to resources
that are available to you, etc. Becoming aware of your
personal resources will give you confidence. List some
of your assets here and don't be modest. We all have
abilities and good qualities that can help us reach
goals.
Ask also your supporters and other people
who know you what it is that gives them confidence that
you will succeed? Why would they say that your goal
is not unrealistic but something that you can actually
achieve. In order to fill this page, you will actually
have to talk with other people and ask them to write
down in your workbook what it is that convinces them
that you will make it.
Page
26. KEEP A DIARY OF YOUR PROGRESS
In order for you to get progress rolling, you need to
pay attention to positive development. Write down even
the smallest signs of desired change. You will need this
information on the following pages.
Keeping your eyes on progress, noticing
positive development, is central in reteaming. Positive
changes can go unnoticed unless you keep a diary of
your progress, share your notes with your supporters,
and engage in discussion about what it was that you
did that caused the progress to happen.
Page
28. ACKNOWLEDGE THE CONTRIBUTION OF OTHER PEOPLE
When you analyse your progress, you often find that
your supporters, and perhaps other people too, have
contributed to your progress. They have perhaps encouraged
you, helped you, or supported you in some way. Express
your gratitude to these people, let them know that you
appreciate their contribution, and see for yourself
how it influences your motivation to continue with your
project.
Page
30. ACKNOWLEDGE ALSO YOUR OWN CONTRIBUTION
Others may have helped and encouraged you but undoubtedly
you have also done many things yourself. What have you
done and what can you be proud of? Don't be modest.
Feeling proud of one's accomplishments is the strongest
motivation medicine there is.

32. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM RETEAMING
When it is time to end your reteaming process,
take a moment to think about what the experience has
taught you. Is there something that you have learned
about yourself, or about what is important for you in
making your dreams come true.
Page
33. MAKE A PLAN ABOUT HOW YOU MIGHT PUT WHAT YOU HAVE
LEARNED INTO PRACTICE
You have now completed the reteaming process.
Before we close, think about how you might use, in your
work, or you life in general, that what you have learned.
